The goal of this weblog is to hold up a mirror and make sure that the image looking back is what we expect of IT professionals. Be aware, though, that while our profession has a tarnished reputation in the eyes of the business users that we support, our clients can sometimes lead us astray. M. E. Kabay's Network World Security Newsletter article, The Equity Funding fraud shows how IT can be duped if we don't maintain the highest sense of ethics and understand how the business we're supporting works. There's a lesson in the article for all of us.
