I'll apologize in advance for this, but I just couldn't resist sharing Robert X. Cringely's article titled Trust me, I'm From Microsoft. There are two reasons why I'm sharing this: (1) I'm winding down from a boring day, and (2) the article rings true. Tomorrow I plan to post a few entries that have nothing to do with Microsoft, vendors in general or products. On the contrary, my rants will be on a topic closer to home - the real life episodes of IT in action and the things I've witnessed (and, to be honest, participated in) that highlight some of the errors of our ways. Of course, I'll also give my opinions about how to remedy some of the more glaring IT transgressions. Until then I'm signing off from [now] chilly Tustin, California and headed to bed.
